It seems our bikes are not compatible with this stuff but is my understanding correct that they will still sell the super grade? and will all stations stock it I wonder...

Have done that, was slightly out but not by much

Took bike out (550) and it was misfiring so came back after 1/2 mile and checked the headers and #3 was only just warm where all the others were hot. After checking plugs leads and caps I looked at the points and the set for 2&3 were way too wide, reset them at 15 thou and it ran sweet as a nut, I suppose my question is why wasn't #2 misfiring as well?

The 2-3k is not really an accurate valuation, have seen worse go for 5k

Always use the bike in winter if conditions are ok, pain to start when left for a week or so but never fails, usually start it twice a week to keep everything up and running. If its freezing cold and I've been away then a hairdryer on the intake manifolds works fine

Mine is the same but a bit worse, but hey, no leaks and is just fine and dandy!

Mine does the same, doesn't seem to affect it. Cars of the same era used to spark at the points all the time as well.

Haven't 'broken' one either but doesn't change the fact that they are soft as s###. Also according to DSS they are a high turnover part. Just crap design

A seemingly magic Honda size of 16mm (which is not in my socket set) can you buy a hexagonal 16mm spanner? Also anyone know why they are made of cheese?

Had my rear wheel re-spoked by a guy who lives about 5 minutes from DSS, can't remember his name but DSS recommended him to me. Think the charge was about £25 -£30

I use 7's in winter and 8's in summer usually as they are slightly cooler?? to be honest it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Have now resolved slight leak on No 2 carb mixture screw. Just cut the smallest bit of PTFE tape and wrapped it round the threads, now no leak at all and all running fine!
