550 seems to be msfiring at lowish revs in 1st and 2nd when pulling away slowish, once opened up in higher gears all trace of the miss disappears totally. New plugs and points fitted and timing done statically. Please someone tell me its not the carbs...(46A) not tried new leads or caps.

Mine was wobbly at low speeds if I let go the grips then it was crazy wobbling! had a new front tyre and now perfect

What is the little brass couloured screw/nut on the bottom front of the float bowls for on PD46A carbs?. The nut is knurled. I had a leak from one on carb 4 but just tightened it and now it's fine.

they will not re-release old plates unless the original vehicle is still on the road, I have have had battles with the DVLA over this but they will not budge but I cannot see a commonsense reason for this stance as if the original vehicle was scrapped 20+ years ago what harm could it do?
