Title: Air filter box gasket
Post by: Moorey on June 19, 2020, 09:29:13 PM

The gasket on the 705F1 air filter box seperator has got big and baggy and it would seem you can't buy just the gasket. It is a square C section in shape. Open to suggestions as i am struggling to find anything suitable.
Or if anyone has a good 750f1 airbox / gasket they don't want as mine seems to have got a little out of shape.

I tried to find some for one of our CB 750 Air boxes Chris, without any luck. In the end I had to cut down the original, which like yours had gone saggy, and then superglue the ends together again. It worked a treat.
When I was darn sarf in my home town for a few days (last year) I went to a specialist company that I used to deal with to see if they did anything close enough but, what they made was just not close enough.

Cheers Julie just trawlin tinternet i might have found a stockist i need to measure up for a suitable fit to see if they have anything near the right size but it does look promising. At least i know what cross section to search for now.  ;D
If it comes down to it i will just cut out the excess and glue.

That sounds hopeful Chris. Baines had one that was quite close but not close enough for Trig, that's why I ended up doing a bit of cutting and shutting on our 😊😊😊
