Title: Gearbox shifter drum
Post by: Pauarc on January 10, 2024, 10:45:34 AM
Does anyone know how to check if this shifter drum is the early one or later one as I can’t find any identification number on it it’s from a k2 engine

That looks to me like the later modified drum. The reason I say that is that the modified ones had a wider point where the gears were in the midst of changing. That is explained very poorly but I have a photo of the one that came out of my K3. Modified to give smoother change between gears as far as I’m aware.

No problem mate, i managed to collect most of the technical and service bulletins years ago which Ash scanned and put in either his dropbox or alladins cave, same as my very early parts books

Thanks for the help I had seen the Honda update (but couldn’t figure out how to measure it)
