I have just received some 350f rings from Cruzinimage which way up does the one piece oil control ring go it has a step on one edge and no markings.

Well I promised myself I would be back to riding the 750 again by my birthday which is this week. So I took the 350 of the road yesterday to sort out the smoking number 3 cylinder. It has served me well since it went back on the road at the end of March having done over 1000mls.
Pulled the top end down in search of the cause. It really is clean in this engine with very little wear on anything the cam baths haven't been cleaned they are just as I mopped out the oil. A score mark can be seen on #3 cylinder.

Well....I have been in A&E - AGAIN!! I decided to go horse riding, something a bit different to cheer me up with all that's gone on lately. This is something I have done before, a long time ago... anyway It turned out to be a big big mistake! I got on the horse and we started off slowly, grew in confidence, went a little faster but before I knew it, we were going as fast as the horse could go.
I couldn't take the pace and fell off, caught my foot in the stirrup with the horse dragging me behind. It just wouldn't stop!!
Thankfully the manager at Tesco came out and unplugged the machine. He actually had the nerve to take the rest of my change so I wouldn't attempt to ride on the Elephant........

I wasn't going to say anything until after the event, but I am so excited I need to share
Wish me luck in the London Marathon on Sunday.
Last year I managed 3 hours, 12 mins, 9 sec. This year I'm going to try and beat that but I usually get bored and turn the TV over.

No full restoration as I think it would be a shame really as the bike loads of character. Just a good fettling and making reliable and use it through this summer and take a bit of the load off the 750 and my new hip in the early part of the year. Pics as it goes on in no particular order, just doing bits as I fancy with no plan whatsoever. Someone has been attacking parts of the frame and swingarm at some time in its life with a rattle can but I should be able to remove it and get back to original paint on the frame.

9:29 Far left protesters offended by everything are marching down the street demanding for me to be beheaded.
Moral: There is no moral to this story... It's just the world we are living in
