Title: CB650 Front Forks
Post by: davefirestorm on July 21, 2022, 01:21:15 PM
Bike I’ve bought possibly a Canadian imported single disc model.Sourced a pair of Twin disc forks and CB400 brake calipers seem to be compatible/fit,are they the same calipers?

400/500/550 are all the same. 750 are different and there are 2 different types fitted to the 750.

Trace the model on cms and check the part number. Honda used several different calipers on the 650, at least 2 different cylinder heads and i think 3 different fork types

Trailering the bike home tomorrow.I might be pleasantly surprised 😁 Hoping it’s rideable. Not end of the world having one disc from memory the brakes were not too good with two anyway but the kph speedo will drive me mad so on look out for mph clock/drive too.I’ve looked at CMS site but the Superdream calipers need to be identified first😬 will speak to my Superdream anorak mates.

Just use tipex on the glass to mark the important speeds, like 30, 50 70 and knicked!
