Post by: Andrew-S on February 04, 2019, 12:49:09 PM
Here's a 'deep drive' project for someone :o - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CB-750F2-Honda-750-project-engine-16000-miles/292904002345?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CB-750F2-Honda-750-project-engine-16000-miles/292904002345?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649)

What's the matter with these people, its just junk... its not as if it's even a rare model.

😁 Good play on words Nigel.
'The bike caught fire in the garage'. I'm surprised the house is still standing after that, it looks like an inferno took hold!

Some years ago a neighbour caught a car alight in his garage while working on the fuel/carbs. He had to get out as it took hold plus a load of paint he had added to the inferno.

It was absolutely ferocious, shockingly so, and took everything the fire brigade had to save the adjoining house.

It certainly impressed on me to do things like that outside to reduce the risk. Very scary if it goes wrong.

" ..... bike was always stored in the garage ....."

Would have been better to store her in the garden.

I agree, prices for later 750's are going a little daft, 2 years ago I was looking at an F2 in admittedly better nick than that but with a seized motor and missing a few components (exhaust, tacho that I remember) he was expecting £1500, couldn't knock it below a grand so left it.

That is well and truly scrap!

It must be a good buy, the seller has 100% feedback. So did my seller and I'm still regretting it 3 years later. It doesn't guarantee anything. At least a buyer won't be under any illusions about this 'Classic'; they won't have any sense either, even I'm too bright to buy this one. One for the optimists. A bloke that I know, in his seventies, decided not to renew his house insurance, as he hadn't needed it in fifty years. Three weeks later, his 'Classic' back-fired through the carbs and burned his garage down with all the contents. He was lucky to get out alive it happened sooo fassssst.

Only an insurer would have paid £800.00 for that......maybe it's meant to say £8.00 ?  :o
