No...silencers need to be removed or do what we do, just use a very long spanner and stand on it till the nut doesn't move any further, that's about 65 ft lb torque 😁

If you haven't got the key, you will need to drill it.out. But....try every key you can lay your hands on, you may be lucky.

Sorry for my shameless cross post - I posted a question of sorts in the tricks and tips section, which has had 80+ views to date but no replies.  Anyone care to take a look and comment?

A soda blaster has many uses, including the parts you are talking about. No media is left, so no issues with little bits if glass or sand being left but, it is a slow process blasting anything with soda. The outcome and time spent is entirely dependant in the output of the compressor you are using. It needs to be a high CFM rating to do an effective job.

Thanks Julie!  Where does the baking soda go?  Or, do you have to wash the parts and the soda dissolves?  I guess the junk you're blasting off has gotta be clean off somehow...

The specs on that tool are, ahh... interesting.  The website lists the "average air consumption as 7 cubic feet/min @ 90psi... which is also the maximum pressure...
The baking soda is water soluble so a rinse in water will sort that. The spec on that tool is nowhere near man enough for the job, you would need 14 CFM at an absolute minimum and that one is only 7 CFM. The CFM is more important than the PSI for blasting any media.

Yes bought it from DS back in 2016.

Been ridding it for 3-years ;D, with a loose disc brake according to Honda's bulletin, but not noticed a problem.

What's wrong with kissing your bike good night anway  ;)
I wouldn't kiss any of mine goodnight.....they are always so filthy dirty I may contract Anthrax or Botulism or something similar 🙄🙄🙄

Thanks for your kind offer Jamesh, I have today appealed to DS for a new set of bolts FOC, if not forthcoming perhaps we can make a swop.

I'll most likely go with changing the bolts. Trouble is, I'll know and it will irritate me.
You won't notice it when you're riding it, or any other issues it has...i take it you are going to ride it and not just bow down and worship it 😊😊😊

Or become a "Collector of Shiny Parts" like yours truly  ;D ;D
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Indeed Ash.

Yes,  as Bryan says above regarding colour.

It's set from camera measuring rgb channel output from camera chip data to give "correct colour" balance.

The images have a cyan bias (minus red) and will make the image rendition skewed in that way, so less orange/gold than the naked eye would perceive if standing in front of it.
If I understood all that Nigel, I'm sure I would be mighty impressed 😊😊😊

Thanks Julie. How is that standing up to the ravages of time and british weather? That's what I have done with mine but I was only intending it to be a short term fix.
They seem to be doing well Roy, no adverse issues to report so far.

If I was asking £10k for a bike I would at least make sure the photographs are of decent quality, why take photos in full sunlight!
I couldn't agree more. The whole bike looks like some quick tart up, I wouldn't be parting with 10k for that. Is it me or is something not right about the exhaust headers? Think I would rather bid on the DK bike.
Jason (Woodside) posted a pic of that bike a few weeks ago and also mentioned the headers. I thought it may be a mixture of OEM and aftermarket down pipes as the OEM and aftermarkets have a totally different shape bend on them.

IIRC Roy, I have had to remove the paint on all the different brands / makes of pads I have fitted Roy and then apply the copper slip.
