Just been out and tried the oil filter bolt, and it will not fit, as it is 20mm. Rotor thread 18mm x 1.5

Update on correct colour   Following advice from Deano  I contacted Honda uk Today, i received a reply to say my colour code is R6CS Candy Antares  Red.  Thanks for all your replies.  Shows the power of the forum to get things done Keep it up  Ross

Just checked my heads and both, on the inlet side the guide tops are parallel with a provision to take a seal.  Whereas the exhaust guides have a conical top with no provision for a seal.  I may be unlucky and both heads may be from an early model   Yet looking at parts catalogue it only shows seals on inlet side. Confused??

Just to throw this one in  Just stripped my 1978 400/4 head for cleaning It only has seals on the inlet.  Has someone else been in there before me and left them off?????

Don't forget when rebuilding the gearbox back into the crankcase ensure its put together while in neutral  the pip on the selector barrel visible through the switch hole  The outer  selector forks have the flat sides facing the centre the centre one will be self explanatory
