Title: Info
Post by: Seamus on March 28, 2020, 09:06:19 AM
Been trawling through my backup disc to see what could be deleted.
I have a description of how to make a float height check tool for a cb750 and an article on twin disc conversion. Not sure if its for a 500 or a 750. Originally by a chap called Ben Hiles, and probably from the US site. If they are of any interest, I will post them.

I think i have seen the twin disc article and it has a BIG error in that it tells you to use a 500 speedo drive which is not accurate

Atached diagram of float height tool for CB750. Cannot remember where it came from as I found it when I restored a 750 K1 a few years back.

Dual disc modification. Authored by Ben Hiles. Think it originated from the US site.
There is an error relating to the use of a cb 500 speedo drive, as pointed out by Bryanj
May give some pointers though.

Could someone edit it with the correct info and I’ll put it in Aladdin’s Cave.

I can’t as I don’t know what’s incorrect

Excuse me for jumping in but.
I do find it a little odd. That honda put mounting holes etc on the fork opposite the disc. But then to fit the second disc.
Involved a lot of messing about with spacings. I'd have thought. All that was needed was the same parts only reversed. Like on the later F1.

They probably saved a few yen per leg by not having them machined

Could have saved more Yen. By not having the facility at all.
Just seems odd. Doing half a job.
