Mate has a 95 400 Four that he wants to sell. Had new rims, spokes, tyres, mudguards, indicators, handlebars and other bits. Paint is not great and the engine cases could do with a bit of love. Runs well and everything works.

Your post say 1995 is it an old stock item as I thought they stopped manufacture in 1978 or thereabouts.
That said I did see an A plated new Vincent Black Shadow in a Derby dealers showroom circa 1963 - a found packing case model allegedly from Liverpool Docks it was priced at about the same price as a new Vauxhall (HA) Viva!

Whoops, should be 1975. Was looking up some parts for another bike that qas 1995 and the year stuck in my head.
Old age is galloping up..... :)

I think knowing mileage might help, but so would a standard seat and down pipes that resemble standard ones. A 'faster seat' tells too many people it has had a hard life! Elbow grease and solvol impress. I'm not sure about the fork gaiters, I raised that myself on here a couple of years ago and the popular view of them was negative.

With the non-standard parts on it and ill-fitting front mudguard, not knowing the mileage or when the engine was last overhauled (if ever) I would guess it's worth about £2500 - 3000. Maybe a bit more if you find the right buyer.

Thanks for the imput. I don't know the mileage yet, so will have to ask. Exhaust, I believe is a motad.
Obviously need more details, but a guide price is all I need to pass on to him
