Title: Scammers all over Ebay
Post by: philward on December 01, 2018, 09:31:41 PM
My project search I have saved on ebay is dominated with scammers lately - i.e.

Sad....but wherever there is money being spent...there will be scammers.

The more a bikes value goes up, the more likely you are to get people passing off junk as restored, or 'rare' examples cobbled together from the cheaper less sought after models. I mean...how hard would it be to pass off an F2 as an early K series. Swap a few bits...hide the rest with crud and rusty cast offs and call it a 'barn find'?

I have a saved search for 'Projects' and whenever they're taken off, they are relisted. Yesterday, out of about the ist 15 items, scams numbered about 12 - of which the same item was re-listed following (I assume) ebay taking them off. If you look at the scammers other items, there's pages and pages of sought after cars and bikes.
Drives me mad!
