Here's the bike when it was new, it just so happens it was bought new from a dealer in Boston, Lincolnshire. The original owner and his son still live local to me, I'm about 10 miles from Boston. I've sent the son a message and hopefully he well get back to me.

Is that the shop Chris R used to buy his bikes from and the elderly owner still does machining/welding for him Julie?

No idea Ash, all I do know is that the shop was called Chattertons, in Boston.

No the place in Boston was Coupland Motorcycles (local 5 star Honda dealer) chap called Jim

Chattertons was in Sibsy, just outside Boston and this is the chap that owned it. But me not being a true Lincolnshire Yellow Belly, just an import, I have no knowledge of bike dealers back then, or now TBH 😂😂😂

Thanks for showing the pictures any history would be welcome.
It appears to have changed colours over the years. Bike mostly in bits but I intend to hound everyone on this site for help and advice. Mostly restored British for 30 years and looking forward to this build.

..so does the person whose dad owned the bike originally now own it? Or do they just now know where it is?!

This is the bike that was sold in bits on ebay a few weeks ago. Lots of shiny parts I remember.

Hi no I bought it off the internet, unless I am related no his dad or his son does not own it now.
Unless of course my dad had a good bike to get over the Humber..
Yes lots of shiny bits.

Yes, it was on Ebay as well, that's where I first noticed it and I watched the bidding with interest.

I've just noticed something really weird, the reg number on the original photos is ***84J, the number plate on the floor of the garage on the sellers photos is ***48J 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 So it can't be the same bike.

The danger with jumping to conclusions. I remember jojo posted that it was an early KO and s/n 1035xxx just after the listing finished.
