Does anyone on here sell / deal in new or used refurbed computers? I thought I'd just ask on here before I give myself up and spend money on something I don't understand. Need a laptop with Windows 10. I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 (was on Windows 7) but its 8 years old and since updating to Windows 10, lots of its functions aren't functioning properly. That's all I know 🙄🙄🙄

Failing all else, a "clean" install of Win 10 on your computer would work wonders, updating usually keeps rubbish along with other files, pm me if interested.

If its 8 years old Julie you are better off going back to Windows 7 as 10 is too memory hungry. Which Dell laptop is it as i may have a hard drive here with 7 on.

My advice - take Lenovo T470 or T480 ideally s version, with high res touch screen. Great PC!

I was going to go back to 7 Bryan but Microsoft are stopping support and updates for that next year...which just confuses me even more 😭😭😭

Your not alone Julie I have three lenovo T430's they weigh a ton and are pre historic but there brilliant so I don't want to change. I have had much newer laptops and they just don't stand up to the same abuse.
They have been faultless until recently being forced to upgrade to windows 10. Now I have no sound and my keyboard goes random at times, I have to press everything until I find the key I'm after. Very frustraiting when invoicing or estimating jobs. >:(
My complete crap hand me down phone is on its last legs aswell but I don't want to part with it.

Bloody funny, as my phone is on its last legs too AND its a Windows phone and Microsoft aren't carrying on with WhatsApp from the end of this year. I feel like I'm being ganged up on by the Techo Gestapo 😀😀😀 No's 5 & 6 stopped working on the laptop 2 years ago, a nightmare when I'm doing invoices 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Julie my desktop still runs xp that they stopped sevicing years ago, dont care it still works and Norton still works on it! I have 4 Dell 15R n1510 in the household 3 on 7 running great but 1 using a different email system as the microsoft one failed and i couldnt be arsed to sort it.
The last one has windows 10 simply because the Garmin update system needs it!
Are you saying whatsapp is ending at the end of the year?

No, WhatsApp is still going to be there but Microsoft Windows are ending their hook up with WhatsApp, so it won't work on Windows phones after Dec 31st this year.

Really needs to be a solid state hard drive to cope with the demande of windows ten.
When I upgraded windows 10 hammers the hard drive and slows everything to a crawl.
Solid state drive and the thing was transformed. ;D

;) yes i agree with paul G 100% HHD is not the way to go they are pretty much dead in the water since the introduction of SSD
SSD is so much faster it will totally change your PC or laptop i installed a samsung SSD what a revelation and just use the HHD for storage like pics and vids so its a no brainer really,and install windows 10 is not that bad it just loves memory 8 meg of RAM will be ok,I have 16 meg of RAM and thats plenty 8)

Lenovo all the way for me. When my ACER broke in March I took it to the guy across the road from me who fixes PC's & Laptops. He took one look at it and said at 8 years old it was basically scrap. He told me to buy a s/h Lenovo T440s and he would install Windows 10 for me. There are a few comapnies on ebay that sell these, most are from banks and other big users such as Network Rail etc so they are 'clean' when you get them. I paid £220 for mine and its three years old and unmarked. It's great, I wouldn't use anything else now.

Julie Tier1online.co.uk do really good deals on new and refurbished pc they only do corporate stuff so it’s high spec at a fraction of the cost never had a problem. Two teenagers couldn’t break them over the years must of been good!
