Misc / Open / Re: Bikes SORN'ed but not showing on DVLA
« on: October 24, 2019, 11:17:18 AM »
dont worry about it ash they will tell you soon enough if its not ,with a warning letter DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER
my mate had one a few weeks ago that he was not insured and needed to do that or sorn the bike
the problem he had was when he registered the bike last year they gave him a years tax anyway all be it that it was free  it was  historic tax
and this is the problem a year down the road it will flag up on the DVLA computer as not being insured or sorned
meaning you can not have tax and no insurance sounds silly i know
BTW ash you have pm?

;) that is the only thing i miss from shows is talking to the people who can recall how it all started

CB750 / Re: K0 CORRECT DATE OF MANUFACTURE
« on: October 16, 2019, 11:39:20 AM »
@ james you are the the kiddy at sorting the U.S. stuff  ;) as you have shown the vin tabs are the only real proof
that could have been such a mine field when you involve the DVLA they want all the correct paperwork
i know that from past experience as we are local to swansea it pays us to go to there in person

CB750 / Re: K0 CORRECT DATE OF MANUFACTURE
« on: October 15, 2019, 10:20:28 PM »
;) hi im not sure that you can get the exact date without the vin plate not even HONDA can supply you with that sort of  info as they was making 1500 cb750s a month ? perhaps the previous owner might still have some paperwork with the date
do you have a log book if not you could try and get a dating certificate off the VJMC there is a charge but the DVLA normally accepts their findings but if the bike is already registered then you can use the date off the logbook

CB750 / Re: IOM TT 1969.....UK CB750/4 K0
« on: October 01, 2019, 11:05:27 AM »
;) i love seeing the old pics just wished id taken em when i had my old bikes years ago, keep digging out them old bike pics
 thanks for posting  8)
BTW i toally agree with kettle i would say the bike probably is a uk cb750 k0 or even  a continental model i also noticed the parking light in the headlamp so i dont think its a yankee bike it would be nice to know the reg of that bike and i would not be surprised if it was brought in from europe as we all know we never got them off HONDA until 1970

;) you dont need the safety catch so i would fit it without safety catch i got a straight one some where if you need it
it was probably fitted for american spec anyway like locking petrol cap and quite exhaust you  dont need that here in uk yet lol 8)
