They're all like that unfortunately. When I bought my bike the original rubber was quite hard and had been damaged by previous owners trying to get the rubber on and off. I bought a new one, but still really tough to stretch it over the tank tab. The tab could be a lot shorter, I guess Honda over-engineered the fixing to make absolutely sure it never came off by accident. I use a spring puller to get mine off or the zip tie method works well.

Arcing at the points usually means a faulty condenser. The new pattern ones don't last long at all.

If there is a crack I would be worried about water getting in. Rain or when washing the bike. Not good inside your engine. 😖

Steady! That tank rack is the best item on my 5TA. The kids know it as 'the fish and chips rack' for its usual load!
Exactly! I've kept mine on my Tiger 100, very useful, a forerunner of tankbags. 👍

I had a good nosey at the 400 bikes on Sunday. They do look good build quality and look bigger than a 400 single. 👍

Will be a K2 as it's a USA model. But UK CB250s were out of sequence after K0 ..I.e K2 started with a 3 , K4 started with a 5 ...etc etc.
It's a CL350 Ash.

Gareth, Great photos from the show, thanks for posting them.
Are you going down to Peebles for the show on 14.4.24?
Thanks. I'm not planning to go down to Peebles at the moment.

Some photos from Scottish Bike Show yesterday. Appearances from Carl Fogarty, John McGuiness, Glenn Irwin, Ruben Xaus and John Mcphee.
Harris framed RC30, not one but 3 Hurricanes! One was BSA A75.

Bars look much better Johnny. That’s some collection of well organised tools. Saw an interesting idea in classic mechanics mag this month - a one foot by 1 inch magnetic strip handily placed for dropping on bolts / tools etc while working. Saves scrabbling for bolts on the floor when you container gets knocked over..DAMHIK😉
Magnetic tray. Best invention ever. 👍

The bike looks much, much better with the new bars. I'm impressed with your workshop. I always envisage mine looking like that, but never get anywhere near it! 🤔
