I have gone there quite often more for the ride out then anything. Its about 100mile round trip for me.
I was working in Leiston for about six months before I had even realized DS was there. He is very close to sizewell everyone there looks the same James Mays 750 was in there for nearly a year before it sold. I think we will have to organize a meet there when the bikes arrive. Mick 2253

I'm sure the 400 is the same as the 750 3.25-19 on the front and 4.00-18 rear
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong Mick 2254

I had to clean the paint off for the push button on the gold tank.
Rather stupidly I took the paint of the wrong side and had to touch it in. 2256

I actually bought one of my 750's from them worth every penny
I find buying of eBay is always a gamble. I have bought a handful of parts from DK and only had one iffy item after emailing them I received an instant refund. They seem to be selling Jap imports now and they seem well overpriced. Lester there a motorcycle dealer and importer Mick 2260

I have heard of electronic ignition causing similar problems.
Why fit electronic ignition when the good old points never play up on the 750's. Mick 2261

Thinking about it you could skip the truck wash and just use caustic soda just keep an eye on it as it eats Ali surprisingly fast.

Something like this I cant remember which one I used because my brother got it for me
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cyclone-Traffic-Film-Remover-Bug-Insect-Remover-Truck-Wash-10-LITRES1-600parts-/230950372796?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item35c5b705bc The one I used was brilliant stuff I sprayed it under the bonnet of my truck when it covered its self in oil it made the furry Ali head look new.As long as you get a caustic one its marvelous stuff. 2263
CB750 / Clutch slip« on: March 11, 2014, 08:08:03 PM »
Well I managed to use the bike again today it may be the last ride this season due to work and having to give people a lift in. all is running well apart from the clutch being a bit slow to disengage.
Having the clutch slipping half way round a roundabout makes for an interesting ride. New pair of RB2's on order just in case I get to use her again. Mick 2264

CB750 / Re: 50% off oil« on: March 11, 2014, 07:11:23 PM »
I run everything on 10/40 as it's perfectly fine with our climate. One of my old customers was a sales rep for a big oil company and he told me that no one makes a bad oil anymore some just last longer than others between changes. So as long as you change it often almost anything will be fine.
So I buy a mid range oil and change it often Mick |
