Can I ask what you fill the damper with or is it a trade secret

I will be buying another set of faces for a k1 as the other ones I bought were excellent.

The nut is tight but the springs are past there were limit so hopefully it's just worn springs
Can you stop the speedo from jumping erratically
I probably bought the face plates from you.

The needle did indeed come loose it fell off today on my 115 mile trip.I hate pulling clocks apart still got to do them on the other bike.  But now I have a more serious problem the bike shakes the bars so much it tries to tear my arms off.The front forks have almost no rebound so it jumps and skips over bumps

when't for a run on the bike today and thought my reaction time had vastly improved as I seamed to be making good progress
until I came across a land rover defender trundling along.I glanced at my speedo and realized its stuck at 80.
Needle still moves but now it reads 80 at a standstill and rises up to 120+

Bugger been there done that.Crash bars are always a wise investment.I do know of someone near me that can make and weld a new header pipe on for a very reasonable price.I'll dig the number out tomorrow.
I too find myself standing in the garage just starring at my bikes.

Cheers Mike

I have been pulling my hair out for days trying to stop the forks from leaking and now I have
Finally worked out why the bike keeps blowing it's seal There both odd sizes  ???
35 46 11 and the other is 35 48 11.So I skipped work and have finally managed to MOT her passed first time  :) She pops and bangs occasionally at low speed so a bit of tinkering needed.Just need to register her now.

The fork tubes are in perfect condition.I'm sure the oil level was right but I did use ATF fluid instead of 10/30.

Hi all
Finally got around to insuring the green k1  :)  But still can't MOT it.Bloody thing blew one of its new fork seals when I tide it down  >:( Could the fork springs being on there limit have caused it? Progressive springs added to the shopping list anyway.  I think I will ride it to the MOT next time.

On closer inspection they are f1 forks. The mudguard has no provisions for a stay on the front and the brake pivot is smaller than the one on the green k1.Does the green k1 have a k0 front end as I had to fit smaller fork seals I can't remember the size but the part number was 91255-300-013

CB500/550 / Re: Front brake Resevoir problem? Bleeding Brakes!!!!!
« on: August 12, 2012, 10:00:50 PM »
I two had problems with my brake leaver coming back to the bars I found if you bleed the brakes as florence explained and then pull the leaver in and tie it up overnight it pushes microscopic bubbles out.Release it in the morning and it should be firm it never fails.

Sorry - yeah - that was what I was trying to say . . .

. . . the black and white wires go to the regulator connectors in the loom.  Everything else is contained in the plastic plug.
Hi I to have replaced my rectifier what did you do with the earth from the regulator as I have just left mine lose.
