Watching the news this morning and the South is at a standstill, here in Lincoln we have about an Inch but with more on the way.
-
We've had a little bit overnight but nothing to be concerned about.
-
3-4 inches. Roads are a sheet of ice (under the snow). Can't see the roadsigns or where the kerb is.
Might stay at home (will do if Beverley's school is closed (we wait in hope!)
Bike show yesterday - bloody freezing!
-
Got to work, no problems. Tell why do some folk on clear a letter box sized area of the windscreen before setting off???
-
Not to bad round here, Side roads are a bit slippy but the main roads are clear, Still not going on my bike though as i dont finish till 9ish and who knows what it will be like then.

Took Beverley to work but Headteacher closed the school as soon as we got there!
So, a day off.
My kids in SE London (Greenwich/Lewisham) report about 6" and chaos (and both colleges closed ;D)
Tea trays in Greenwich Park then?

Chipping Norton at 3am was every so pretty --NOT--- with a 53 ft artic
Got some in Glos but goes from 1/2 inch to nowt regularly. Then again just started snowing again.
Off back to bed now F'in postie!!!
-
Back from work, no problems, starting to settle on the roads as it get colder, weather guy says 5" tonight - we'll wait and see
Why was the underground closed??? I thought that was the point..... It's underground ???
Drive carefull everyone
-
A common misconception John.
There is much more of the "Underground" that is actually overground - and it's the drivers who can't get to the depots.
The answer is probably "use a computer" like on the DLR - was that running today?
-
Blowing a blizzard up north when driving home from work.... our undergroud is running not that I use that sort of transport often ;D
-
Woke up to a blanket of white this morning roads were ok once you got on the bus routes & once the sun came out everything started to thaw, had some flurries during the day & its still trying to snow as i type, wife is off to work shortly she may have fun on the way home in the morning :-X ;), cheers Mick.
-
Blue skies and sunshine today, but about -2 Celsius
School still closed ( ??? ) as local authority seem to have bottled out over the whole thing.
This was yesterday morning at about 7am.
-
We had heavy snow till about 9pm, in fact at 8 we were out with the dogs, they love finding snowball in deep snow. At about 10 onwards it seemed to start raining, at 8 this morning -2 and could open the car doors frozen solid
-
OK I'm peed off!
It is NOT the worst snow in 20 years-----its just the worst in LONDON for 20 years!!!!!

At last someone else knows, I've been fed up with the news folk going on and on about how bad it is, as if we've never had it this bad --- RUBBISH --- I can remember at least 5 instances where we've had 5+" of snow and 3ft drifts in that last 20 years,
-
I can't :P
But I do remember 1963 (I was 5) - my dad built an iglo in the garden.
-
Although the roads looked ok in the afternoon decided to get the bus in. good decision i think, photo was just before hometime. Phew.
Dave ;)
-
Another 3" this morning. It's worse though as it's +3

Rained a midday, all gone...
-
We've had very little.
Tuesday and Wednesday were lovely days with clear blue skies, little wind and not a snowflake or patch of ice to be seen.
Today we had a few flakes in the morning and the rest of the day has just been grey and still.
-
well i am in northants, and its half way up my shin, nearly into top of wellington boots, been really bad here, no buses running, cars sliding everywhere
no work today could not get in, work for rs components, approx 1800 people work there, heard that less than half got in
virtual stand still all day, and here more to come overnight?
8.00 and still very deep and everything turning to ice

Too bad even for the IAM...
I've just had my Rider Skills Assessment (I'm training to be an IAM Observer) postponed until next weekend.
Mind you, if he hadn't called, I would have called him!
-
We've had a glorious day here today.
Clear blue skies and no wind. Not particularly warm but a very nice day.
Looks like we're going to have a wicked frost overnight. -7 C on the forecast. Day off tomorrow though.
-
Just got back to the forum after it ot the computer had a wobbly. Sonw and resultant chaos! seen it on the news but appart from a few houres of clearing snow on the smallest section of road leading from mainroad thru the village, every road I've wanted to use has stayed clear. Mid Wales has gotten away with it weather wise, no floods almost no closed roads.
-
Yesterday was beautiful with clear blue skies (again), dry roads and around 5C.
I was sat in the car thinking that I should be out on my bike. Very frustrating. >:(
