I might have a 500 owners manual stashed away. I will have a look in the loft.

Rick Dunoon has been around for a while. I used to follow his blog when he was on SOHC.net - maybe he still is.

For the younger members in here, a “blog” (short for web log) was a system whereby you got an email when someone updated their website.

All social media is descended from that basic system.

....been in IT for 25 years and i still get schooled by guys 20 years younger than me and more...even my own kids..!

Me too.

They may be able to sort out why my iPhone doesn’t ring when somebody calls me via WhatsApp (my daughter sorted that out), but could they write an SQL Query?

She would say “ we don’t have to as there are IT nerds who do that stuff. “

I did try that Ken. It was a while ago.

I photoshopped a 500 side panel badge to clean up the edges and enhance the colours a bit.

Cafepress would not allow me to upload it for copyright reasons.

Maybe things have changed.

I guess if you took it to a local company you could get t-shirts but that would involve stocking and shipping etc. The online sites offer made-to-order merchandise delivered to the buyer and send you a cut of the profit (not much).

You can get your design on mugs, shirts, anything really.

I love it when an ancient thread like this pops up again.

I will ask Glenn if he has any plans.

The difficult bit is the design as anything with the Honda logo or style gets vetoed by the merchandise company.

Any graphic designers on here who’d like a crack at this?

It takes two to tango Delta.

However polite.

I have deleted all the crap and unlocked the thread so that Dave can continue talking about his bike.

We had Rickman fairings Ken. We fancies the look of “no gaiters” as we didn’t have headlight ears anyway.

The second pair was for my room mate who had a yellow 750 F1.

Our local dealer in Brighton didn’t have any of these parts so we had to ride up to Lewisham to get them.

He’s pinched that from my Blog.

Without attribution…

£10 a week was what we had.

Plus,

When I was at Uni, £46 was five weeks money.

That’s my 1978 engine rebuild.

Where did you get that Ash? I’m not on Facebook.

I’ve probably posted it on here at some time in the past 16 years.

I think there were two pages though.

It is truly sad that you remember numbers like that Ted

Myself, I can’t ever forget the telephone number for Radio Luxembourg.

01-493-5961

They must have trotted it out every couple of minutes.

Half a dozen in the 16 years Ash.

I dish out warnings every now and then but only lock or delete stuff if I get a complaint from a “non-combatant”

I’ve only ever banned one member.

Was that in the police Ted?

They still run the “calls” like that.
