You don't use the felt with the bronze bushes, just the end cap.

Hi Johnny,
That was the iphone today, but that synced with the ipad which is where I started to put the post earlier - easier than the small phone keyboard.  Still don't know why the system doesn't have a resize facility now,

Yes Johnny, 6 is a an ideal number. We had 16, possibly 17 at one stage, either our own riders, others fully restored by Graham ready for sale and others in the process of being restored by Graham, it was standing room only in places 🤣🤣🤣.

Dave, its only the later ones with a rubber seal, early ones the seal is the felt ring, i think i still used the caps with the bronze bushings though

Only thing i can think off is either something between case and shell or the disaster of a bent crank, i have built engines with all black shells with no rotational problems
