Hi All
New member from Oxfordshire. Took the plunge a couple of weeks ago and bought a very nice 1970 CB750K1, restored by previous owner but still some things I can replace/restore such as wheel rebuild.
Just applied for historic reg (J plate) supported by dating docs from HOC, can't wait to get this baby out on the road!!
Cheers, Mark[attachimg=1]

Yeah, guessing it's a repro seat for K2 onwards. No latch currently and latch bolts don't line up. Baulking at the cost of another seat on CMSL website though!!

As we say "there is restored" and then there is restored ::) When some one has fitted a £85 repro seat for a K3 to K6 instead of a correct K1 seat that can set you back £1000 :o

Welcome to this wonderful community there are some very knowledgeable members her.
Looks a tidy bike as I am not a purist - the seat looks okay to me!
You should see the headlamp I'm planning to fit to my CB400F2 in the spring - I'll be called a heretic by some.
Back in the 1970's I made my Mk1 Austin Mini 1275 Cooper S look like the Mk2 by changing the front grille, bumpers & rear lights - sacrilege now of course. lol Not forgetting that I sold her for £425 whereas today even rough ones fetch over £20k.

Welcome Mark
Are the K1 seats really that much now? I could do with one for the gold bike.
Its well worth getting the right seat as the later ones are a bit bulky looking and compleatly change the look

I think the look is ruined the second this podgy, grey haired old fella swings his leg over it!
