Title: Honda CB72
Post by: Trev Birkbeck on December 11, 2021, 05:03:47 PM
Hi all
Just bought a Honda CB72 - a nice light weight bike.
My drive is gravel which it bit hazardous on the centre stand.
Is it possible to fit a propstand to this bike?
Are there any sources for such a stand?
Cheers

Welcome to the forum Trev - I'm sure some CB72/77 experts will be along shortly

Welcome .. had a pint of Theakstons ale  tonight in a pub in Burniston.  :)

There was an 'optional extra' side stand but a very rare part and mostly seen for sale in Japan and usually very expensive and typically £150 or so. It's similar if not the same as the one fitted to the CYP77 Police model shown here. It's a rather crude bolt on affair.

On the late CB77's there was also a bolt on lifting handle to aid putting the bike on it's centre stand

These links from my Dropbox links of scanned parts book/srvice manuals is really useful
