  I have been trying  to purchase with no avail  a gearbox shaft ( sprocket  end) "oil seal" , NGK AE1061F.. I'm wondering if some one can help me where to purchase  for a CB200 .. I didn't want to remove the one that's in the bike incase non availability...

Ash , I can see your point , “ But ,“ to try your a standard ring means they very expensive £70 genuine  ,for a just a try to engine out every time  , it was just a thought from the forum ,I have heard a few competition  lads have tried it. I’m from the West Country and are very frugal here 😎, Thankyou all again from your input

Many thanks Guys for your input, wasn’t keen on the expense of a rebore (negative equity come to mind)as there wasn’t  any wear in the bore, perhaps go back to standard, it’s no show pony and won’t be commuting, Thankyou again...

Ash ,I’m fitting +25rings on standard bores and filing the gap ,..... as the manual states standard gap is 6 thou , having asked around some engineers  say times the bore x 4 which = 9 thou .so I’m a bit confused Thankyou for you’re reply Ash .

I have acquired a cb200 ,compression was not good having stripped down both top rings are broken I am going to fit New rings no bore wear really , am a bit confused to ring gap as the manual spec states end ring gap 6thou, but many people say times x the bore (55.51) x 4 = 9 thou . Can someone advise me what gap I should go for .

Hi , I had the same problem with the 550 f1, on 69a carbs in the cold weather , the only way I over come this problem was to warm the motor / Carb by waving the hot air gun around the engine area , I don’t have these problems with the two CB200’s , S90 and Cbr , they all start with a nearly flat battery .don’t miss the 500/4   ,

Thankyou Mr Davao, for your advice , I see in two different manuals as where they mentioned  lifting Engine out from different sides ha not sure  weather one was looking at the bike from the front head on and the other from sitting astride. . Thankyou again ..

Having acquired a couple of cb 200’s  to restore im wondering if someone can give me some insight as the easiest way to remove engine from frame ie can it done without removing starter motor etc  or any other tips ,as when I come to refit into a newly powder coated frame I try and avoid scratching frame ,

 can someone clarify if  supposely to have small O rings attached to the air screw on the 069a carb ,in front or behind the small spring, or not have any at all .
