It's a good price especially when you realise the amount of time and effort that has gone into it. Lots of replica parts and some genuine ones as well, none of which come cheap. Have a search for 'A CR750 Build' on the US site. Comes up with Google search as well. Some of you may have seen it already.

Hello Mark Yes, I've got one of those, which I'm in the process of fitting to the bike. They are available from D and M Engineering, check out the CB750 section of their website www.d-mengineering.co.ukThe fittings for the oil lines shown are -6JIC and they come as an optional extra from D and M. I'm in the process of modifying mine to take -8 fittings. Eric

There is a vintage Honda can of paint on flea-bay at the moment from the USA - Candy Topaz Orange, Part No. 08701-99906. There is also the code YR-1C shown on the tin. Perchance that may help.

If you do find the correct colour match for the 'Dick Mann' CR750 please let us know as I want to paint my bike in that colour. Perhaps there is a modern colour code for it.

Hi James
CycleX in the USA are in the process of producing a high performance oil pump, due mid June according to their web site. No indication of price though. Other than that you may have to chance your arm on a used item. They keep coming up on flea-bay.

Hi Amos
I've read about this problem before, perhaps on the US site so a search may reveal the solution. It's a common problem I believe with after market exhaust systems (assuming you can still fit the centre stand) as the rubber stop on the standard exhaust is obviously no longer there. I bought a rolling chassis from DK a few years back and that had a small bracket attached to the frame where the clamping bolts for the centre stand go thus preventing the stand from going up too far. I think it was fitted on the right hand side. I'm sure I've still got it somewhere, but a quick look in the garage revealed nothing. It' too cold in there for any extensive searches. It was made from a piece of flat stainless approx an inch wide, 2 inches long and about 1/8 of an inch thick with a hole at one end for the clamp bolt to pass through.
Hope this helps Cheers Eric

Could be wrong, but the longer one may be from a later model. Is the caliper arm symetrical when viewed from above? early ones were, but I think the later ones had the pin slightly offset to the lefthand side.

Thanks oddjob However, guys on the USA forum have got them down to a GL1000 from 1978, probably fit the years 75 through 79. Pictures on the CMSL site fit perfectly.
Anybody sent a pair for rechroming to a place in Deby recently and lost them in the process because these are what I got back instead of my CB750 K7 versions
