Is the rotor really rusty?

Ken, think all the M10s on the Honda are also 1.25 fine thread.
Phil

Could be right, couldn't remember if the standard was 1.75 and Honda used a fine pitch 1.50, for some reason 1.5 still feels right, I must check a bolt and find out.

Trigger had some of those made the other year. I have one that's not used as I'm going to fit spade fuses. Might sell it now.

8mm is 1.25 Ted. 6mm is 1.00 and 10mm is 1.5.

I may have a couple. Depends on whether I stripped them of the zinc plating ready to be done, I really must get round to assembling my plating kit one of these days, I've around 500 bolts/screws to do.

Try disconnecting the cables completely. Rev the engine using the butterfly by hand and see if it still does it. You'll need a remote fuel supply to do it though.

550 setup Ted.

No steering lock and ignition mount on the top yoke.

Typical damage to the alt casing, I wonder though why he takes close up pictures of damage but not of the same area after he's polished it. I know how difficult it is to get rid of that type of damage so I'd be interested to see if he's got rid of it totally or just disguised it somehow.

Turned them round quick. Looks to be a good job.

Cost? I presume this wasn’t the £130 quote?

Check out this page Ted, in fact check out the whole site, the colours available from these people have to be seen to be believed.

https://www.prismaticpowders.com/shop/powder-coating-colors?color=pris_white&q=pearl

Pearl Bronze is interesting, if you click on details sometimes there are pics of parts that have been done. Maybe a gold frame to match the gold wheels, the choice of golds is awesome.

IndexTripleS does Prismatic powders, you need an approved applicator as they can be tricky to apply. They even do colours that change as they bake. Check out Illusion colours.

Yours is a 550 though Roo, much harder to find. 500s are a lot easier.

500 or 550 Gary as they are very different. 500 ones are easy to find as a rule.

The 500 doesn’t have one Ted? It should. I’ve got a spare so I’ll bob one down to you. Need to find it first

Use a little grease on the ring to stick it to the back of the pad, just use a flat surface and some wet and dry to flat that ring Mick, thickness isn’t an issue it’s just there to avoid metal to metal contact tween pad and piston so they don’t make noise.

I just use a chisel and hit them upwards, never failed to work. Most times you’re doing this you binning the race to fit a new one so it doesn’t matter if it gets trashed but I did my taper rollers the other month and they’ll be going back on, no damage.

Yeah, could you cut the terminals off so they can fit in a Jiffy bag Gary?
