Has anyone tried Motul oil in the 400/4 ? I use Motul in all my modern bikes but thought id check on here before I poor it into my newly rebuilt engine. Thanks, Daz

6205 should all be the same outer, inner and width
Yeah thats what i thought but if you look at the link for simply bearings it quotes 2 widths, 13mm and 15mm as does my supplier

Anybody used this gasket set before ? I did buy a vesrah gasket set from David Silvers but the metal rings on the head gasket are rusty and not something I fancy using. Thanks

I have just under a thousand in mine but haven’t touched the cylinder head yet. It adds up very quickly, sh crank and full set of bearings, timing chain, guides and horseshoe, primary chain, rebore and pistons, gaskets, seals etc . luckily, I can repair the cooling fins and treads repairs myself. Hopefully ill get time to test fit the crank today and paint the cases tomorrow and start the rebuild next week

I did give it a thought about making a 400/4 electric as I have a spare rolling frame, my daily commute to my unit is 18 mile and I like to use a bike whenever possible. I don’t suppose it would ever replace my trusty Kawasaki z750, I wouldn’t want it to but I could see a place for it
