I got the same answer when i bought 4 float needles for a CBX 550
Do you still have the cbx ? I also own one, currently on sorn to make room for a modern Kawaski 750 but its a cracking little bike  :)

Interesteing to see what DSS says
The PCRK CB400F carburettor kits are an aftermarket kit so this may explain the difference in engraving.

We are not aware of  an issue with the kits and  have been supplying the same kits for many years.

Thanks, by Just looking you can see the taper is different, there is no needle tube in the kit either, I will have to get In touch with silvers see what they say  >:(

Hi all, got a keyster carb rebuild kit from silvers, needle is a D22 but the one in the carb is a 18234, any ideas if the d22 will be ok ? Thanks

Thanks for the replies, i found some orings which came with the bike which are 1.9mm x 5.8mm in a honda bag which i thought could have been what i needed

Its done with a knurling tool, have a look on Youtube for knurling on lathe, its dead easy to do

I started my clocks. I had to destroy the black knob taking it off. It was suggested that toothpaste top, filled and blacked could be a good substitute.
I ended up making one for mine after destroying the plastic 1
