Hi,it`s 1971,I`m 17 years old and riding a 1967 CD 175,i go to the local Honda dealer in Ipswich (Davy Bros) and in the window is this gorgeous lump of chrome and candy gold with 4 cylinders an electric start and looking a million dollars..I was instantly in love.Ever after I wanted one but couldn`t afford one .Roll on to 2019 when I have taken a bit out of my pension, and there in my garage FINALLY sits the bike of my dreams. It`s the right year, the right colour and in very nice condition.I hope to get lots of tips and ideas from this forum,so thanks for letting me in.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of help and mainly nice people on here. Don't be shy to ask if you don't know, non of us knew about Honda's at some point in time. What's the model of bike you have bought, colour, year, uk bike or import etc, were eager to know.
-
Hi,1971 CB750K1 in candy gold.It`s a UK bike with 52000miles.
-
I'm no expert but that looks like a K0 to me. If it is you may have bought a jackpot. Someone will be along shortly with a definitive answer. Over to you Ash.
-
Welcome to the forum. That's a bright looking bike, either someone has made it look like a USA model, or it is a USA model, not UK model. The VIN plate down the headstock is a big give away.Enjoy riding it.

Is it a K1 or K0 Julie.

Is it a K1 or K0 Julie.
USA K0 I think Roy. It could also be a Sandcast.
-
I suppose we had better ask him if it's got really rough cast crankcases. How would it be a 1971 bike though?

It's got a Sandcast oil filter housing on it. That photo also looks like its in the USA. ???

Your right, it doesn't look like Stoke on Trent. ;)
-
I think we have been infiltrated by someone who has got a photo of a Sandcast, but thinks it a K1, and also thinks it's a UK bike when it's obviously a 100% american model. Oh well, he will tell us next he paid £1500 for it ;D
-
Yep, I have come to the same conclusion. Looking at how dull the cases look that's a Sandy. We may have been had. ;D ;D Nice one.
-
Whoops, wrong picture, told you I wasn`t good with this techno stuff.I`ll have another go later.

Welcome to the forum. Have fun.

Nice looking bike, it's great when a plan comes together even though it took a few years, looks just like my old K1.
Cheers
