I need to check if there is some type number on my shocks, but obviously these are not 7610 type. However, length as OEM (~320mm) and except conflict with chain guard they fit

They look like 76k 1320 series shocks ( the number was behind the white plastic cover behind the spring) the same as I have on my 400. I was told by a guy at Koni all the parts are available for the internals as they use the same parts as used in car shocks.

Hello, sorry I can’t answer your question but my 77 400 came with the red handle but I think it’s probably a bike that sat in a dealers for a while....Cheers

This link appears to be a modern production of the cibié used (now owned by Valeo) but would need verification as the concave lens can't be seen in the photo.

The 400 kit came with adapter ring as I recall but could be cut out of a stainless sheet to replicate I guess.

Would give that period mod look to the 400 though  :)

I’ve made this mod to my 400 using the original headlight shell but you need more than just the ring to make up the size difference........cheers

I’ve been very happy with Motobatt AGM batteries on my 350 and 400 and also have them on my CBF600 and GL 1500 and they don’t need quite as much maintenance as conventional lead acid type.  That’s not to say you can neglect them though!  The longest life I had was just over 8 years but never less than 4 so far.

The down side on a 400 is that you can see the bright yellow case grinning at you but easily resolved with a half cover in black.

Ian

I also am using a Motobatt battery on my Cub90 seems fine no problems.......Cheers Dave

Unfortunately I think we will have plenty of time to start/finish these project.  For those that survive unscathed they will have no diy stuff left to complete and might be able to get out on the bikes without feeling guilty.  I’m 71 in June so only time will tell!  This is my project in the dining room which we haven’t been able to use for ages!  Plus the new bike.

Nice cub, Ive got the Innova for commuting and love it, I thought they would have put a kick start on the new cub it would have been a nice retro touch but I suppose the extra cost was a factor......cheers Dave

😁😊. The longest trip she has taken so far on her YBR250 is 80 miles 🙄. Going to Liverpool will take some persuasion and will involve shopping, chocolates, jewelry and me doing endless housework 😯!

Take the bikes and the wife in a van it’s probably cheaper on the ferry that way, and if you don’t find a hotel you can sleep in the back of it, lots of people do.....Cheers Dave
