Ordered! - i did forget to add that although ive not done it before im planning on doing the throttle bodies on my z1000 as well...ive watched a you tube walkthough and i did watch a lad from the ducati forum do mine (he very nicely came over to lend a hand and, bring his guages over) - but i must confess i hate borrowing peoples tools...i do like to have my own!!

Many thanks.!

It says there is no Mercury in what look like Manometer tubes - is there some sort of metal cone in the tubes that the vacuum pulls up into view to measure the flow?

Update:- Having watched the u-tube video I'm not sure what you are adjusting to balance the readings - is it the carb sliders or the air screws?

I’ve got a carbtune pro and used it on my boxer twin quite effectively. It has metal weights in the manometer tubes in place of the old mercury set up.

If I feel extravagant I will get the £259  esync tool favourably reviewed by Ralph Fernand in classic motorcycle mechanics which provides much more diagnostic capability ( worn valve etc) and accurate syncing
