Post by: fat lad on December 11, 2007, 11:28:31 PM
hi all, ive been directed here from the other sohc site just wanted to say hello, i live in west yorks and have had my 400/4 for about a month now. Im very happy with it and makes a nice change from my scooters, i get to places a lot quicker. With the scooters im in a club and we visit many local clubs and have loads of rideouts and rallies throuout the year, is there such things with the sohc? iv'e had contact from steve, he told me he visits my town regulary so if steve or anyone else are in the area and im in ill stick the kettle on. Bye for now regards fat lad ( jonny )

I've never once paid over the odds for postage, I found it not much more than Royal Mail for the same weight parcel sent to me in the UK ...that price for a seat sounds high  :o

That price Bob W could have sent the seat for you sounds about right, I had barrels and pistons (heavy) delivered from IL by 48 hr air mail for $85, those parts cost $18.50 the guy selling them thought I was mad paying all that postage. I could never have got those parts here in that UK in 6k miles condition, they arrived for only 50 quid! I love US ebargain. 8)

Hi
If anyone needsa cb400f rear, just ask.     I sell lot's on Ebay.  Not cheap, but not rotted either.  Most don't need a re-chrome and are good enough to use as is.
Are there any vintage Jap clubs in the North.  I'm near Rochdale and have had 70's Hondas for years.  I'd  like to use my current cb750K7 a bit more this year.
I went to Southern Ireland last year on it and the Isle of Man for the previous two years, but would like to get more local use from it.  Me and the Mrs also have two small USA import cl70 bikes for pottering about to the pub and back.  (A trail bike looking version of the SS50).
Cheers
David

Hello David (too many Daves on this board...)

I've seen your eBay stuff over the years and it looks good. Never needed to participate (but you never know...)

There are probably more Northerners here than us Southern Softies, hang around and make contact with them.

Three of us are booked on the Thundersprint in May (I'll post more about this later) and were thinking of:
Dresda
Rickman
PRR

I don't really fancy driving up in a van, but Sam goes all over the country in his so it can't be that bad!

I'll be at Southport quite regularly on my 550. Might even be there tomorrow if I finish work handy.

Be nice to put some faces to the names.
