Bleeding brakes! This is getting annoying now, I've fitted a cbr600 master cylinder to my bike to fit my clip-ons and new braided line direct to the refurbed caliper but do you think I can get any pressure on the lever or movement of the piston in the caliper!
I've bled the mc end and everything I can think of to get fluid to pump through so I'm at my wits end and asking for help here guys

Perfect Bryan, could I just eliminate the spliced in brown then?

This is the 550F wiring diagram, the two browns connect pretty much immediately in the loom anyway so surely eliminating one or rejoining them will make no difference on a 4 wire switch? Isn't it just the park position

I know where there might be some brackets but they’re in the US.
Do you want me to ask my pal over there Dom? It’s a bit of a long shot but I know they’re there……

Don't worry Roo, I'll cobble something up on the cheap if I can, failing that I'll take you up on your kind offer mate

Sorry to hear about your sister Bryan.
I may make up a bracket and utilise the horn fixing points

What actual model is it and where is the ignition switch now?
Hi Bryan, it's my cb550f1 with the hugely long centrally mounted ignition barrel which I'd like to move somewhere more discrete

Yeah Motogadget was just a step toofar financially for me, I keep thinking 'cheap build remember, cheap build' 🤣
I'm sure an electrical genius will answer my query

Looking at the wiring diagrams I seems the 4 wire switch has two browns linked into one, I wonder if its as simple as doing that?

Chatting with Roo earlier when he suggested I used the old K style frame mounted ignition, I could make up a bracket if I can't find an original but there is a wiring difference - 5 wires on my F as opposed to 4 on a K switch. Is there a wiring solution?

That sounds the answer Julie, do you have any idea how he did it?

Do any of you electrical guys know a good solution for my cafe racer build? I'm looking to either relocate the ignition or change it to keyless to make room for my centrally mounted gauge, any thoughts appreciated!

I can only think that it's tying up on the bearing Ted, maybe you need to drift it in ever so slightly more?

I have a local source for most O rings
A company called Hayley Group
On a local industrial estate, the Hereford branch are really helpful,
Imperial, metric,fuel resistant etc,
And the bonus, normally a fraction of the cost of NOS,
Take a sample, and the item, like tappet cap ,they will find the size needed

I'll fill it up with stuff in no time I'm sure, I'd have lived to have gone bigger but I'm doing it within permitted development rules (I think) and getting this far has cost a small fortune
