;D The weather here in the UK has been bad for the last 7 to 8 weeks in
some parts continual rain every single day!We had the floods 2 weeks ago
this effected our front garden & worst of all my garage/workshop at the
back of our house the garage was under 2ft of water Mmmmmm grim!
I managed to move my various bikes to my parents house but heavy
none movable stuff tools, filing cabinets "full of tools ect" compressor,
took the worst of the water damage Hopefully that should be it for us
looking at at the TV the people down south have had it far worse than us
no water ,power ect houses totally flooded our thoughts go out to you
keep your chins up regards Asimo  ;D

:) Hi mate, and a big welcome to the World of the wonderful CB750
The noises you describe from your engine are all quite normal for
a CB750 remember the engine design is almost 40 years old so
leave well alone inc the clutch its bullit proof if a little noisy!
Camchain adjustment is an easy fix as another memer on here has
already said in an earlier reply If the springs are low on the rear
they sound as if they are worn out (if they are the originals they
prob will be) bin them for aftermarket ones Hagons are good if a
little expensive or try ebay but be careful I use the USA one as  it
has tons of CB750 bits. Is your K7 the one with the small back wheel
if its a USA Spec one?
Front brake performance can be improved at low cost without changing
the front end give the caliper a good going over inc the swinging pivot
as this is the cause of many a CB750s brake problem while your at it
bin the old rubber flexi brake pipe that will also be past its sell by date
try a braided hose ,bin the old brake fluid fit some decent brake pads
\"not cheap nasty ones made from recycled cornflake packets\"
put it all back together carefully & it should work a whole lot better
but if your used to riding new type Rice Rocketships its never going to
    seem very good.
Horn sounds like a bad contact at the button WD40 it first mine is also
on the blink at the button so I reserve judgement till I check it out
I,m in not so sunny Nottingham regards Asimo :)

:) Hi Den it looks like the weather forcast was wrong again its been hot
and sunny today \"Sunday\" no more rain thank goodness!
Mmmmm 1970 I was still at school but we were all at the TT on holiday
and if I remember we all had a great time \"Malcolm Uphill\" won the
production TT on a Triumph  Nice pic of you and the Beesa at
Union Mills very retro \"make time & get it back on the road ASAP\" its
a part of our history! My next project is a Honda CB750 Cafe Racer
I,v just bought another CB750 from a guy who started to make a chopper
out of it but I got it just in time its a mix of F1 bits and a K2 engine Soon
as I have time I will post some pictures of it before I start to pull it to bits
   regards Asimo :)

:) Mmmmmmmm thats more like it! So much for a so called Classic Bike comic claiming 112 mph was about top whack! \"eat my jet fumes\"My first CB750K2 which was bought \"secondhand\" topped 125mph with a \"standard\" engine My first & only Brand New bike CB750F1 also did about the same in \"standard trim\" although the ecceleration was far better. My current F1 has a lot of tuning/go faster engine bits & pieces inc sprocket/ & gearing changes I tried it when I first recommisioned it after a 10 year lay up & it was totally \"standard trim it went over the \"ton\" quite easily I,m hoping for a whole lot more from the engine mods I have made otherwise I,m going to be very disappointed :)regards Asimo

« on: June 26, 2007, 10:22:02 AM »
:) (Try a more gentle approach before resorting to the hammer.)
Try using hot water \"not boiling water\" just very hot water rig a
funnel & pipe & pour carefully on each rubber it will then expand
under heat break its seal & prise off Start on no 1 then 4 then 2 &
3 prising as you go along then they should come off ok Cheers
    Asimo :)
