The postman has just called with my V5C from DVLA. Not too shabby, it's taken 2 weeks and 5 days including post time. Thanks to James for the V55/5 form that he pre-annotated with all the correct details. If anyone wants a copy of that just ask. I have checked all the numbers on the V5C and everything is correct first time out, including the change of engine number. She is now LFM 992N, and I have even remembered to declare it SORN as it's not insured yet.
I did a double take when I saw your reg number. I had my docs back at the start of the week for my american import K5, took a bit longer than yours mind, but I have the registration 986N. Small world eh!

Thanks Julie excellent info. That part and the sprocket was already stripped by the p/o, possibly when he removed the engine.
Roy, agreed, but as I have no history and bought it as a stalled/dismantled project I will never know.

On stripping my engine I have found this in the bottom of the crankcase. I have gone through the csma parts diagrams but so far no luck, so I am hoping someone on the forum can point me in the direction of where it came from.
Motor is a cb750 K5

Ash, nice bike. Looks like a lot of the smaller Honda’s (late 60’s early 70’s) were popular over here as they regularly pop up for sale.

I don't know about the Honda covers but have used him for Suzuki seats. Quality and workmanship on those is excellent, however he does get busy and can be difficult to pin down.

I have recently bought myself a CB750K5 or at least that's what I am led to believe as it is in kit form at the moment, in boxes, and with bits missing. I may be asking some questions later. For now I just wanted to get my foot in the door as I realise I won't be welcome after #@%$.
