Just read page 14 in the October Classic Motorcycle Mechanics, no MOT's required for bikes & cars after 40 years (rolling 40 year rule applies as well)
Quite surprised as there has been no news in the press/internet...I think?

I'm curious to know what the score will be getting imports registered when this happens. At the moment you need it M.O.T.d on the frame number and valid insurance to get a reg number issued. What will the procedure be from then onwards?

To get a vehicle registered you need a MOT, don't matter how old it is ;) A lot of owners will still MOT there bikes to keep a recorded mileage and MOT it, if they are selling it on as a good selling point.

Thanks for the link Trigger and advise...you can still volunteer your bike for an MOT
Apparently 6% of pre 1960's bike owners volunteered there bikes for an MOT under the older system.
