Hi
I finally got the registration for my CB550K3 (ex US import) and rode it out on the road for the first time today.
I did about 15 miles, generally the bike was ok, but the throttles seemed less responsive around the 3000rpm area, a bit hard to explain really. I did have the carbs balanced before the MOT and at low revs it seems fine. Anyone have any ideas how I can improve the responsiveness in this range.
Also after about 10 mile the front brake started squealing.
But I would like to thank everyone on the forum who has given me help and advice to get to this stage.
Many thanks
Dave

Really glad you got your registration through David!
With regard your low to mid range response, I have to say I noticed the same thing on my 500 when I first rode it and think it may be typical of the bike. Have you checked the static timing? That helped mine a little.

Responsiveness poor at certain throttle settings I would suspect pointed mora at carb settings/ blockages rather than timing
Did you rebuild carbs and check jetting and clip positions etc
Another thought may be a sticky advance/retard unit
