Best offer around $54 million, but they wont even talk to you without a letter of intent. No tyre kickers or test pilots then.
It makes me laugh every year when I go to the Goodwood Revival and see the one belonging to Lord Bamford (who owns JCB) get crashed again, not that you can really write one off, like a Spitfire it'll always be worth mending. Nick Mason (Pink Floyd's drummer) races his GTO sometimes too, good to see he didn't waste his money up his nose like most rock stars do, he has a hangar full of classics.

Back to the coin: he has had loads of declined offers (1p I expect!) Thought all 2ps 1971-82 had new pence. Only 1983 coins with NEW are worth a bit.

I went to Nick Masons garage in London to quote to make a Ferrari birdcage gearbox pattern a few years ago .
The money in these old cars is amazing..
I went to a customer who restores/rebuilds a lot of the car you will see at Goodwood and i said i wouldn't want his insurance bill and he said it is based on 120,000,000 and he employs someone to valuate it daily as the premium is so high and with customers coming in and out with cars the value changes daily.
Another world
Still keeps me in work ;)
