I got this seat in a recent purchase of a HondaCB550 F2. Clearly the wrong seat. What model is it from?? Bill W.

its an aftermarket item, not a standard seat off any honda.

I had one the same with a 550 project, seemed to be designed to fit properly but ugly!

I'd take the butterfly nuts off the air filter casing and swap them with the tool compartment nuts, nothing worse than needing a spanner to get into the tools and then finding out you need a tool to get to the tools.
good thinking probably should put some tools in there also
