Title: Rear chain
Post by: Waggles on June 11, 2012, 11:55:28 AM
Was fitting a chain oiler to my F1 at the weekend and something occurred to me, the F2 had a bigger rear chain. Is it possible to fit this to an F1 or earlier? I know the F2 is geared down a bit, is this internal or by the rear chain sprockets? ( if anything I would gear up my F1 not down ) bearing in mind the bigger chain is bound to be more expensive is it even worth doing if you are not drag racing? ( wondered if the bigger chain would last longer or is it just stronger but would wear at the same rate )

Just idly wondering, my guess is its not worth it and would wear at same rate, anyone done it though?

Yes if you want to strip the engine and replace the output shaft and related partd otherwise try and see if there is a 630 conversion kit
