Title: master cylinder re build

Hi all how hard is it to rebuild the master cylinder as mine has decided to pee out all over my week old paint work :'( :'(

fairly easy to rebuild, hardest part is getting the old retaining clip out. see my other posts and others.I would advise getting genuine repair kit as i found the pattern one had incorrect parts inside. Regards, Mick

Plus one on the circlip, I had to get a pair of 'master cylinder circlip pliers' to get mine out. Rebuild itself is straightforward but be scrupulously clean and make sure everything goes back the same way.

If you don't fancy it Dave Silvers do an aftermarket replacement, doesn't look quite the same but does the job.

DS have just launched the aftermarket part to their "dealer network"

My cylinder needed rebuilt too. £23 for rebuild kit and £29 for a repro master cylinder. I went for the repro. Silly me should have PM'd Steve.  ::)

Hi I think I will rebuild as the master cylinder is silver.Just need the time and money to mess with the bike.None of my bikes seem to be working at the moment  >:( :(just as the weather turns nice  typical.
