Hi Folks started working on my swing arm this morning after finally getting the rear suspension bushes out (grinding stone and junior hacksaw blade) i started on the pivot bushes,
I thought the bushes were plastic mine seem to be metal not brass, they seem fine no movement but look like they might be a bugger to get out i have got new ones and im sure they are plastic ??? Cant find them at the moment.
Any ideas should i just leave alone or attemp to get the old ones out ???
Regards,Stuart

Stu, took mine out 2 nights ago. They are plastic but not "nylon" type plastic but more like Bakalite ( if you'r old enough to know what that is LOL ). I tried to drive mine out with a long bar from the opposite side but they just broke up on the inner edge. Eventually just used a course round rasp and filed them length wise through to the metal, then pulled them out with pliars. Am machining a new set in bronze tomorrow.

Cheers i thought i might have to use a harsh method to get them out im getting used to this method !!!!
