Hi experts,
Another question from Mr. Amateur coming at ya...
Can anyone tell (show) me what this apparently missing part of my frame is for (CB400-4 1976), please?
Thank you,
Drew

I think it is the small plate the rectifier bolts to. As the frame isstripped itshouln't be to difficult to get one made and welded on.

PDAY is on the ball

Ah that's because I have a ratty donor bike in the garage that has the same problem ;)
-
Ah, seems I need to get my friendly recitfier to rectify this for my rectifier!
So the obvious next question... anyone got a picture of what the rectifier bracket looks like so that I can create one, please?
Thank you again, experts out there!

Here ya go... noting that its 'jaws' are open to 'slide' the rectifier bolt in/ out as I remember...

Brilliant!
Thank you so much (again),
D.

Ah... just found an old pic before the bike was restored... you can just make out here the cut-out for the rectifier mounting bolt.
Note that the mounting bolt (& lug) has a flat .... to stop the rectifier twisting.
Cheers,
Simon
