CB750 / Standard main jet sizes F2

Hi all,

Can someone tell me what 2 sizes up would be from standard on the main jets for an F2? Running a 4 into one exhaust and pod air filters on a project and was advised by the exhaust manufacturer that that was the way to go.

Also - I need to strip the carbs to clean them, anyone know where to get replacement gasket / seal sets from?. Carbs are only 10000 miles old so won't be worn.

CB750 / fork clamp bolt sizes

Hi,

Anyone know the correct sizes for the bolts and studs for the fork clamps on a 78F2?. Or better still, can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere to purchase replacement stainless hex headed ones?

Hi Guys,

Anyone know if these fork stanchions will fit my 78 F2 ? - Proper part number is - 51410393003 . these items are pattern parts on Ebay -

CB750 / Help, I need an orifice!

Hi there,

Just rebuilding an engine thats been apart for the best part of my lifetime and job has stopped because one of the oil control orifice's is missing from the cylinder head. The engine is a 78/79 F2 and the part number is 12238-300-010 , looking on the web for a replacement is drawing a blank as this is an obsolete part. Anyone here know where to find one or have one for sale

Also whats the recommendation for using sealant on the "pucks" beneath the cam towers - yay or neigh? Oh and whilst I'm here, may as well ask - how many o rings are required beneath the cam towers?, the 2 on top of the orifices are obvious but I've read that there are others that fit blind? And finally does anyone have the part number for the 4 studs that fasten the cylinder head to the block?, these are the ones that sit beneath the 4 pucks.

CB750 / Refitting 1978 F2 barrels

Hi there,

I have a 78 F2 and I'm just about to refit the barrels after fitting new rings, I have a gasket and large O rings for each cylinder and new small O rings but there also appears to be 4 other rubber slightly cone shaped rings on the middle four cylinder studs that I can't seem to find the part code for? Anyone have any info on these? Also any tips for getting the barrels safely over the pistons as I dont have ring compressors?. Any other tips for this stage of the rebuild greatly appreciated
