CB750 / engine stand
« on: September 24, 2015, 08:35:55 AM »
Hi Guys

I am having a clear out of my mancave and have come across the timber engine stand I made to rebuild my F2 engine in. It worked really well, it just sits on the bench and the lower casing will fit in in with a couple of rods and off you go, Free to a good home and I will post it for the cost of postage. Give me a ring if interested. 07899757421.

CB750 / front mudguard
« on: November 22, 2013, 10:16:48 AM »
Hi
I have decided to really finish off my F2 supersport and make it as close as possible to concourse, but I don't know where to get a front mudguard. I am sure I read somewhere on here in the past that someone is manufacturing new ones. Is  that right?? If any one out there has a front guard for a 78 F2 in good condition then I would be interested in buying it.
Hope you guys can help

CB750 / CB750 Mudguard for sale
« on: April 02, 2013, 10:18:29 AM »
Hi
I bought a front mudguard for my F2 but it is the wrong one, so I am selling it on. I don't know what bike its from, but I was told it was from a 78 750. I did get it from the states so its maybe a US spec.
I would like £70 (plus Postage) just to cover my costs.

If there is no interest here it will go on Ebay. I have some more pictures if required.

CB750 / running on two cylinders
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:07:23 PM »
Hi Guys
I took my rebuilt CB750F2 out for a ride yesterday and ended up limping home (already done 200 miles trouble free).
when I finally got back no 2 and 3 exhaust pipes were cool so obviously not firing on 2 and 3.  Went to check it this morning and have a nice spark on 2 and 3 so I assume when its get hot 2 and 3 cut out. what do you think coil breaking down or condenser. I'm sure its an electrickery issue, but any comments would be very useful.

On another note I just imported a mudguard from the states but the sods at customs charged me VAT and handling on the cost of the item plus the cost of carriage. This made a $25 dollar item bloody expensive.

CB750 / front disc
« on: August 10, 2012, 05:39:08 PM »
Hi guys
Have just had my rebuilt  fail its MOT today. One of the fails was one of the front discs was out of true. Measured it when I got home and only 0.008" out so he's being a bit anal I think. HAs anyone got a disc under the bench they want to flog?
Second failure was a bent head stock.....ho hum here we go again back to the shed!!  :(

CB750 / clutch switch and front caliper
« on: June 27, 2012, 05:37:16 PM »
Hi
Has anyone fitted a new clutch switch? I've just looked at my diagram and where it appears to be wired in, it doesn't do anything! I'm thinking of just wiring it in series with the start button wire that goes to the solenoid. What do you think?

Also, on another subject, one of my F2 front calipers won't seal when the bleed nipple is done up. I think its due to the fact of me being a bit aggressive in getting the old corroded one out last winter. Has anyone had these bored out and a plug inserted with a new tapped hole for the nipple? Or any other trick I've missed.

Finally, have just tried to bleed my rear brake (new master cyc seals fitted) but for the life of me cannot get to bleed. Have tried back bleeding, have taken it out and re stripped it down and all seems correct, have back filled it on bench but little ****** will still not bleed!

All this is very frustrating as I've left all the fluids to last, and now its holding me up.....lesson learned there!!

Cheers

CB750 / THrottle B cable
« on: June 07, 2012, 09:01:49 AM »
Hi Guys
Has anyone got a Throttle B (closing) cable hanging around they could measure for me. I've just bought one but although all the numbers tie up it seems to short for my 78 F2.
The outer cable would do but the routing is tight, but the inner seems about 20mm to short.
