What is it? / T key
« on: July 23, 2015, 07:19:54 PM »
I had a genuine T key come with my gold bike but it doesn't fit. I thought all T keys had a code that started with a T followed by four digits but this one is a three digit code just 22J any ideas what its for?

Misc / Open / How stuck in the past are you?
« on: May 11, 2015, 11:39:29 PM »
My neighbour came up to me today and asked me to keep an eye out for a tiger cub as he used to own one years ago.I asked him how much he was willing to spend when he replied £50 I almost pissed my self.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
I should have expected it as he prides himself on being the only one down our road with the original 60's windows. What he forgets is I'v spliced and patched them so often they resemble Trig's broom.

« on: April 04, 2015, 03:55:57 PM »
Well the gold bike broke a weld about 3 years ago finally got around to stripping it.It would be great if I could get it sorted asap as Iv only the Easter break to play with it and I'm planning on giving it to my dad so we can ride down to the upcoming meet together.
Is there anyone out there that fancies welding my frame? The centre tube is as good as scrap as its squashed and both welds have broke.
Anybodies help much appreciated.  :)

Other Bikes / Why has a cg125 got me stumped
« on: February 08, 2015, 08:07:28 PM »
I'v been messing around with another cg125 the last couple of days but this one has me stumped.
Its had a full service carb cleaned and valves adjusted it starts dead easy when cold with a perfect spark but when warm it backfires coughs and farts before stalling.
when it does run it struggles under load when its cold it will do 30ishmph but as soon as its warm it gradually grinds to a halt.

« on: January 06, 2015, 11:50:25 PM »
After Three years 5 batteries a new rectifier, patched up wiring harness were it wore through on the mono shock and removed the useless datatool alarm, new rocker cover gasket and sump gasket, new plugs new head race bearings the Triumph S4 now starts on a daily basis. :)
Just got to stop the oil leak on the alternator cover, leaky rad hose and weeping fork seal.I may get to enjoy this bike one day.

Announcements / Group Meet.
« on: December 15, 2014, 11:40:26 AM »
All this talk of group meets and nothing ever happens.
So if we determine how far people are willing to travel we may be able to chose a Start and finish location and for how many days.

CB750 / To splice or not to splice
« on: September 26, 2014, 05:31:22 PM »
Nigel got me thinking so before I messed around dropping needles I had a look at the plugs all are picture perfect so no worries there.
But what I have noticed is the HT leads are incredibly hard and even after trimming them the caps won't bite.

So do I trim and splice the leads or go all out new coils, leads and caps?
