« on: April 21, 2013, 09:07:32 PM »
Hi all
does anyone know if internals from another model will fit my speedo as they are now a bit worse for ware.I know Laverda 750 speedos are the same but they are just as rare.

CB750 / Son of a B**ch
« on: April 18, 2013, 08:42:26 PM »
Hi all dissidid to use the bike to go to work today otherwise it will never get used. The old girl ran perfect covering around 90 miles mostly in the rain and never missed a beat.So very happy.I was itching to go back out on the bike so packed up early and went out to the bike to find it laying on the floor :o >:(
So now she is off the road again with a broken headlight shell, bent fork ears, speedo & rev counter bust, bent spokes in the front wheel, banana shaped side stand and worst of all the original perfect single cut mudguard is now bent and twisted.
  :o :o :o
So now my Truck and bike have been involved in a hit and run within weeks of each other

CB750 / cb750 k1 key
« on: April 01, 2013, 08:34:29 PM »
Hi all
I thought about buying another set of keys for the gold bike to day then realized my key number does not seem to correspond with any other Honda of the same era.
Both are genuine Honda keys.
I have one T key with a three digit number starting with a 2 and one plastic later key with a three digit number starting with a B.
Neither fit the steering lock that still has the original lock starting with a T number.Do I have a barrel from a completely different model?
Cheers

Other Bikes / Blocked injectors
« on: October 01, 2012, 12:03:02 AM »
Hi all my Triumph speed four has been stood for some time and now it has started missing at low revs.It won't pull below 3,000 RPM .
Iv'e changed the plugs as they were quite bad and no change so I assume the injectors are blocked.
Can you use an ultrasonic cleaner to clear them or are they fecked
Cheers

CB750 / Speedo stuck
« on: September 20, 2012, 03:50:04 PM »
when't for a run on the bike today and thought my reaction time had vastly improved as I seamed to be making good progress
until I came across a land rover defender trundling along.I glanced at my speedo and realized its stuck at 80.
Needle still moves but now it reads 80 at a standstill and rises up to 120+

CB750 / So close
« on: August 22, 2012, 07:16:22 PM »
Hi all
Finally got around to insuring the green k1  :)  But still can't MOT it.Bloody thing blew one of its new fork seals when I tide it down  >:( Could the fork springs being on there limit have caused it? Progressive springs added to the shopping list anyway.  I think I will ride it to the MOT next time.

CB750 / HM341's on a k1
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:14:55 PM »
Hi all
I decided to run down to David silvers Saturday and buy reproduction k2 pipes for my k1.I can highly recommend them as they look identical the chrome is pukka :) and they fit like a glove :D.If I remove the diffusers they sound almost as good as the HM300's.I have herd of some people drilling out the baffles so you don't have to re jet.Has anyone done this?
Cheers

« on: June 27, 2012, 06:33:53 PM »
Hi tried to adjust the cam chain yesterday but it won't stop rattling.I pulled the tensioner adjuster out and oiled it that now moves freely.Does this mean I need to replace the chain. If so what's involved.
Here is a photo just because all good threads need a bit of eye candy.
 Cheers Mick.
