I think it is the small plate the rectifier bolts to. As the frame isstripped itshouln't be to difficult to get one made and welded on.

Hi All
just a quick line of introduction. I'm Paul, I live in Bedfordshire and I am in the process of restoring my 1976 400/4 back to decent nick, having realised that its now over 20 years since I took it apart for a good clean! Several house moves and children later, I've finally found the time to amass most of the missing parts from ebay and DSS and hope to get it assembled in time for the summer. In the meantime I'll be borrowing my son's CBF 250 to get some practice in as I haven't riden anything other than a push bike for at least 15 years.
