good day, i am trying to get my bike ready for MOT. I have several issue to sort out I guess an oil leak is quite important. I have taken the bike out on several occasion around the block to see if oil level was good. I have sorted the level but I have had oil spitting out from the hole where the tachometer would be inserted. (i don't mount a tacho so it is not blocked). Can anyone suggest a solution to stop this leak that eventually ends up on the exhaust and gets the whole situation smokey.
thanks el__burro

Hello, having almost sorted the rest of the bike I am preparing for my first MOT attempt. I have been reading a lot of very confusing posts online but probably I can get a more straight forward answer here.
How can I work out if my tyres are MOT fail or pass?
Also what tyres would you advise (for regular daily use).

After a 5 minutes test ride (cb750 k2) I've noticed oil spilling out of the oil tank. Probably too much in it. I am trying to read the stick but there is no min/max sign. 8/10 of oil tank is full.
Any suggestions?

I reckon that the poor running (and even at idle) of the engine could be caused by the lack of air filters. I have removed it and just kept the cones that look like velocity stacks. Today I have covered them with a t shirt cutting and at times i felt like it improved the idling. I don't want to reinstall the old filter box but I am not sure if this solution could work somehow. Shall I opt for velocity stack or a set of these spongy filters? Thanks El__burro

Good afternoon, I am trying to register my motorcycle (cb750 k2) I have no documents nor plate number. I have started the process by filling in a v55/5 from the DVLA. Unfortunately I am at the stage where I need a Year Of Manufacture letter. I send my request to Honda Uk twice but it came back as they are unable to find my VIN in their and Honda Japan archives. They have advised me to contact a qualified organisation or a enthusiast club to obtain an alternative dating evidence.
Has anyone had any experience in this field?

Good day. I made the rear wheel spin a bit and soon realised that something is wrong. Looking at the chain something is not right. Can you tell me if you can see something wrong. I think is the chain link.

Good day, i have almost finished my project (just left to change the rear tyre and complete registration of my cb750 k2).
After having filled up my front brake system with oil i have a problem. The front wheel is pretty hard to turn as the brakes pads are holding on the disks. I have a dual front brake. The disks seem pretty straight.
Any ideas for sorting this out.
Thanks a lot El__burro

Good morning, last night i received a slap on my face when I noticed the 2 tiny holes in my fuel tank. I guess by removing the paint a bit I'll find some more. Any ideas on what is best to fix this. I have seen some paste to close the holes, any good? Any brand?
Good day El__Burro

Good morning, I am trying to take the bike out for the first ride, unfortunately I have a problem with the centre stand touching the chain. What's at fault here, the chain or the stand? How do I fix this? Thanks El__burro

Can anyone help me to source a spare key for the steering lock on my cb750 k2. I've been looking for a number on the barrel but can't find any. Is it located elsewhere? I also have a spare seat lock but not sure if the two match. Is there any way to find out? Thank You El__burro

Good morning, I guess I need to replace the oil pressure switch on my cb750 k2. Unless anyone tells me a very good way to test it before condemning it.
What do you think about this one. Is it a good replacement?
Thanks El__Burro

http://www.salocal.com/sohc/tech/dual_disks/dual_disks.htmHaving started from the link above with the intention to upgrade to 2 front disks I've ended up like in this picture. Clearly the gap between the wheel and fork is not good. What's happening. Thanks El__burro

good morning, after having "allocated the wiring diagram to the bike i need a few tips on - wrapping it all. (I was thinking of heat shrinking tubing but most of them come in small length) - where exactly is tied to the frame. (are plastic cable ties any good?)
