Try a different make of oil next time see if that improves as I had the same problem when using Motul 5000. In one of my bikes ,

Hi , I’ve gone through the process with wet/dry grades then Sprayed  with clear coat 2pack as we have done with faded plastic car headlights with great results. .... hope this is some help ....

I think your best bet is bite the bullet and spray again ,save time etc as you wouldn’t be happy with it as every time you passed the bike you will look at it first ,no touch up etc etc ,with cover  better than full blast over ,££££.  “ s...e happens “.....

Thankyou Bryan, one of the previous owners have knackered the slot on the adjuster which I recut with the dremmel also the thread is non serviceable , so I was looking for some tips I have previously taken the cam cover off etc (holding rockers up with elastic bands when refitting) it’s just about taken the head off in the frame also the removal of the tensioner, armed with (6 sided sockets etc ) Clymer/Haynes , As you say will replace seals while I’m there ,  so new guide and blade do you think .( my bride (70) says I have no patience ONLY  when messing with engines , must have been an Hgv syndrome 😜, thanks again ...

Keep on top of painkillers (take before pain kicks in 3.1/2 hrs ) it will be fine, make sure you do your excersizes ,don’t give up on them and you’ll be running around like a goungun.  All the best and you’ll be right for  swinging your leg over for 2019..

CB350/400 / Re: Painting underside of mudguards
« on: September 26, 2018, 07:02:40 AM »
When I restored my TR4  I painted the underside  with a rust preventive  primer  then a rubberised under seal flattened then a polyethylene topcoat ,.. as the harder the paint ie two pack paint will chip. With poly paint being more flexible the stone wii bounce off without chipping..
